FAQs
How does AP@SIDES™ work?
If you complete an advanced placement course and then pass the accompanying exam, the post-secondary institutions you want to attend may grant you credit for their equivalent course(s). In addition, if you are granted credit for a post-secondary level course, you will be saving a substantial amount of money by not having to pay for those units of credit.
Check with your prospective post-secondary institution to ask about their AP policies or refer to www.ap.ca. Once the coursework is complete, you may take the AP exam for that particular subject. The tests are conducted in May of each year and are scored on a scale of 1 to 5. Generally, you need a score of 3, 4, or 5 to obtain post-secondary credits.
If online preparation for AP Exams appeals to you, you might want to visit the AP Exam review section of Apex Learning web site, www.apexlearning.com, which includes diagnostic pretests, study plans, multimedia review materials, and practice questions from actual past AP Exams.
